Turning a passion into a playable project
Driven by his passion for Indonesia’s game industry and a dream of building his own studio, Lesmana joined DTS FGA Game Creation. The program strengthened his technical foundation, while working with teammates to develop the tower-defense game Plantastic Defense gave him hands-on experience.

Overcoming early studio challenges
Building a studio from scratch brought tight budgets and a steep learning curve in business management. Lesmana and his team responded by becoming “bounty hunters”, entering game development competitions for seed funding while learning from the community.

The birth of Eternal Clover Studio
The connections formed during the program became more than a course team. Several project teammates joined Lesmana to establish Eternal Clover Studio in 2023.
That combination of technical skills and trusted collaborators helped turn a shared vision into a real studio. The team has grown into a versatile creative business offering game development, gamification, and augmented reality services.

Sustainable growth through consistency
Team management, industry insights, structured brainstorming, and pitching to clients or investors remain central to how the studio runs and grows.
The team’s first tower-defense project, Plantastic Defense, marked the beginning of that journey.
Lesmana’s advice for new creators
If he were starting his game development journey again, Lesmana would focus on three strategies:
“Attend as many game dev events as possible to gather fresh insights and expand your professional relationships. Learn real-world development workflows from reliable sources. Build and iterate on small games continuously—hands-on trial and error is where the deepest learning and fastest improvement happen.”
